what a nice bunch of people

during this last week here i have been very impressed by how nice everyone has been to us.  we are being offered free services, rides, and help.  when we showed up at a hostel in kaohsiung and it was full, they called another (cheaper) hotel, confirmed a room for us, and then called a taxi for us.  i'm impressed.

    Hey there,

    so grandpa has seen your blog on-line and hard copy. You seem to be inspiring many thoughts of Asian Travel. I'll be going to India, but I think Fran is dreaming of China. Hang in there with the 1st graders. I remember that all but about 2 kids in my first grade class behaved admirably. Love Marcia
