in taiwan children are trained from a young age to perform. every event/holiday becomes a reason to dance. my students, although very young, had a good time showing off on stage. the older students had completely choreographed routines to thriller and the like.
Can you even imagine going door to door on Holloween in the U.S. dressed as Hallomas? Your 1st graders...very cute. I've never spent more than an hour in charge of teaching in elementary school. That sapped all my energy. How do you do it?
